Eileen Maddex In Memoriam
Eileen Callaghan Maddex, former Executive Director of Omicron Nu, passed away November 12, 2009 at the age of 88. She served from 1966 to 1986. Maddex served as President of the Association of College Honor Societies from 1975-77. During her tenure as Executive Director of Omicron Nu, the membership grew by more than 46,500 members, and she provided executive support for ten national conclaves. In recognition of her contributions to Omicron Nu, a master's fellowship was established in her name at the time of her retirement. Memorial contributions to the Eileen Maddex Master's Fellowship can be made to Kappa Omicron Nu, which formed from the consolidation of Omicron Nu and Kappa Omicron Phi in 1990.
