Rutgers nutrition students share their knowledge during visit to food pantry

New Brunswick - Residents coming to Elijah's Promise for a hot and and healthy meal this week also got a free and fun lesson on how to stay healthy and the importance of nutrition.
Undergraduates students from the Rutgers University chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu, the honor society for nutritional science majors, visited the soup kitchen on Thursday, March 26, to talk with Elijah's Promise clients and offer tips on healthy eating.
Melanie Kim, one of about a dozen nutritional science students at the event, said service is an important part of the honor society's goals.
