Star Students Honored by nuResume

Two Kappa Omicron Nu students, Amanda Beattie of Baylor University and Elizabeth Fegely of California University of Pennsylvania, were selected as winners of the First Star Student Contest conducted by nuResume. This career networking platform is an opportunity for students to market themselves online and network with employers. The awards for this contest are internship interviews with companies enrolled in the network. See http://www.nuresume.com/.

"I am currently a peer nutrition educator at Baylor University, and I spent last summer interning/shadowing a renal dietitian at a dialysis center. I am passionate about my major and look forward to growing my knowledge in the field."

Elizabeth is a junior at California University of Pennsylvania majoring in athletic training. She is a member in good standing if the honors college. She is originally from Allentow, Pennsylvania, and attended Parkland High School, graduating in May of 2006. "My future plans are to attend PA school and eventually work in orthopedics. My current clinical assignment is athletic training for the Division II National Quarterfinalist California football team. My main duties include preventative taping, evaluation and management of athletic injuries, rehabilitation practices, and administrative duties."

Congratulations Amanda and Elizabeth.
