The Kappa Omicron Nu Board of Directors adopted the Global Principles for Socially Responsible Associations & Nonprofits at its meeting, January 17, 2009. These principles are an outcome of the Global Summit on Social Responsibility sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives and the Center for Association LeadershipThe principles include the following themes;
- Responsible advocacy
- Environmental and economics sustainability
- Public protection
- Diversity
- Philanthropy/community service
- Leadership.
